GETTING AROUND SACRAMENTO

Train

Delegates can take Amtrak to Sacramento. For information contact Amtrak at www.amtrak.com or 800.872.7245.

Once in Sacramento, follow the signs for Ground Transportation to a taxi or to various shuttles that are available to take delegates to their hotel or the Convention Center.

Plane

Most airports have flights to Sacramento. The counter for the private shuttle company is located at the far end of the Baggage Claim and trips cost approximately $14 one-way. Taxis cost approximately $30 to downtown Sacramento. Hotels do not have airport shuttles, but arrangements can be made at your hotel to return to the airport by taxi or private shuttle.

Automobile

From either the North or South take I-5 to Sacramento and exit at J Street.

Parking

Parking is available near the Convention Center for approximately $15.00 per day. Parking costs vary by hotel.

Hotel Shuttle Buses

Shuttle service will be provided for delegates staying at the DoubleTree Hotel only. Information regarding schedule and location of shuttle will be available to hotel guests upon checkin at the hotel.

Shuttle buses will be provided to and from all hotels except the the Hyatt and Sheraton the evening of “Starry, Starry Night.”

City Transportation

For registrants staying at the Holiday Inn or Embassy Suites, public transportation, known as DASH, is available. The DASH bus runs every 15-20 minutes and costs $.50 - $1.50 each way, exact fare needed. Delegates may also take the DASH trolley which is free. The trolley stops directly in front of the Holiday Inn. A taxi within the downtown city area costs approximately $5.00 per trip. For those who wish the exercise, it is approximately a 20 -30 minute walk from the Holiday Inn and Embassy Suites to the Convention Center.
