The executive board meets monthly as specified in the bylaws. It is subject to the orders of the association, and none of its acts shall conflict with action taken by the association.

Unit bylaws specify members of the executive board and may include and may include:

• The officers of the association;
• The chairmen of committees;
• The school principal or representative(s);
• The faculty representative; or
• Student representative(s).

A unit with a small membership may reduce the number on its executive board by following California State PTA procedures for amending the bylaws. It is not necessary to have officers and chairmen to conform with other PTAs or the California State PTA. The executive board should reflect the needs of the particular PTA.

SUGGESTION FOR YEAR-ROUND SCHOOLS

Elect vice presidents from each track or vice presidents or appoint track chairmen who can serve as communicators with members in their respective tracks.
