Our statewide strength as a volunteer organization is dependent n our large membership and our ability to contact our members quickly to advocate for children and families. The National PTA's Online Membership Data Reporting (OMDR) system is another tool to help us accomplish our mission. We believe OMDR will be a great benefit to our PTA units. The system can be used to send email blasts to your members. Your membership data will be retained in a safe and secure manner and will no longer be lost when the person in charge of your membership envelopes moves away. This system also saves you time as a PTA leader, because you will no longer need to decide which information you should pass on from National PTA. Your members will actually have the opportunity to receive the information, resources and newsletters that they wish to receive. WHAT IS OMDR?
TRAINING IN OMDR Learn about OMDR by participating in the webinars (online and archived training sessions) offered by PTA. The webinars last approximately one hour and are a step by step process through the main features of OMDR. The webinar schedule and registration are available online at http://registration.intercall.com/go/nationalpta. An OMDR test site is additionally available at www.pta.org/testomdr; the username is homdr, the password is password. LEADERSHIP BULLETIN BOARDS The online Leadership Bulletin Boards can be used to ask questions, share information and find out about the latest upgrades in OMDR. To get to the bulletin board, go to "Leadership Resources" on www.pta.org and click on "Leadership Bulletin Boards."
