1. PTA celebrates the arts with new mural on Los Angeles office

The PTA’s commitment to “Bring Back the Arts” is now in living color on the side of its Los Angeles office. “Children Resurrecting the Arts” is the theme of a spectacular new mural decorating the outside of the PTA office. Muralist/artist David A. Legaspi III has designed and painted the work and is donating this to the PTA. Thank you, David!!!

Painting started over the Thanksgiving holiday and is expected to be completed in mid December.

Learn about the new federal education legislation "No Child Left Behind" and the opportunities for arts education.

5. Up-Date on arts legislation

Read the PTA testimony presented at the California State Legislature's Joint Committee on the Arts hearing. State Senator Jack Scott (D-Altadena) chaired this hearing on the relationship between arts and academic learning in California's K -12 public school system.
